Empowering Student Well-Being: Mental Health Workshop at SICE
The State Institute of Commerce Education (SICE), in collaboration with Dhruti Trust, successfully conducted a Mental Health & Well-Being Workshop titled “Therapy is a Tool: Breaking Stigma, Building Strength” for 80+ second-year students from the Department of Commercial Practice (DCP) and the Commerce Department.
Facilitated by Mr. Rojaram Rajasekar, Counselling Psychologist, Dhruti Trust, the interactive session focused on raising awareness about mental health, reducing the stigma around seeking support, and equipping students with practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and academic challenges.
Workshop Highlights
- 80+ students actively participated in the session.
- Increased awareness of mental health and emotional well-being.
- Students reported greater confidence in managing stress and academic pressure.
- Strong interest in future workshops, counselling support, and ongoing mental wellness initiatives.
The positive response reflects the growing importance of mental health awareness in educational institutions. Through initiatives like these, SICE and Dhruti Trust continue to foster a supportive campus environment where students are encouraged to prioritise their emotional well-being and seek help without hesitation.
