Physical Well-being & Mental Health Awareness Workshop

Dhruti Trust, in association with Anna University – School of Architecture & Planning (SAP), Chennai, conducted a Physical Well-being & Mental Health Awareness Workshop on 22 August 2026.

The workshop focused on helping students understand the close connection between physical well-being and mental health. Through awareness, practical guidance, and open conversations, students were encouraged to recognise everyday stressors, understand their emotions, and explore healthy ways to manage personal and academic challenges.

Building Awareness Around Mental Well-being

Mental wellness plays an important role in students’ overall development and academic journey. The session created an opportunity for students to reflect on their own well-being and understand that seeking support when needed is a positive and important step.

The workshop highlighted practical approaches to:

  • Managing everyday stress and emotional challenges

  • Developing healthier wellness habits

  • Understanding the importance of physical and mental well-being

  • Becoming more comfortable with seeking counselling support

  • Creating a supportive environment for mental health conversations

  • Positive Feedback from Students

The workshop received encouraging feedback from participants, highlighting the value of practical and accessible mental health awareness initiatives.

Key feedback highlights:

  • 83% found the practical wellness strategies helpful

  • 75% felt more comfortable with the idea of seeking counselling support

  • 75% found the session engaging and felt it provided a safe space to share

  • 67% felt more confident managing stress and emotions

  • 100% rated the workshop Good or Excellent

These responses reflect the importance of providing students with safe spaces where they can learn about mental health, express their concerns, and understand when and how to seek support.

Creating Supportive Educational Communities

Mental health awareness is most effective when it becomes part of a supportive and inclusive educational environment. Workshops like this can help reduce hesitation around mental health conversations and encourage young people to approach well-being with greater awareness and confidence.

Dhruti Trust remains committed to promoting mental health awareness, early support, emotional well-being, and accessible conversations across educational communities.

By combining awareness with practical action, we can contribute to healthier, more supportive environments where every student feels heard, understood, and encouraged to prioritise their well-being.
